ARSC Meeting Details – 2012
The ARSC Board of Directors are scheduled to meet quarterly in calendar year 2012 as voted on at the November 2011 ARSC Board of Directors meeting. Each of these meetings will begin at 9 am and we estimate an ending time of 3 pm unless otherwise notified.
Note: We will have our traditional networking dinners on Tuesday nights prior to the Board meetings with the exception of our May meeting. The dinner will be held on the Monday evening before the meeting on that month. BIPS will continue to meet during the day on Tuesdays prior to the meetings and the ARSC Executive Committee will meet during dinner on Mondays prior to each meeting or on Tuesday evenings prior to the networking dinner.
Please read the meeting details carefully if you are participating. Some meetings have extra activities such as golf or fishing that will require a firm head count and RSVP in advance. We also need firm numbers for the dinners in advance or the guaranteed numbers can be expensive. These extra activities are great ways for our members to get to know each other but space is often limited and we have to let the vendors know in advance how many participants we have.

Grand Ole Opry Outing: Tuesday, 5/8/12 – Meet in the hotel lobby for snacks and refreshments at 5 pm. The bus will depart from the hotel at 6:30 pm and return to the hotel at 9:30 pm. The Opry show starts at 7 pm and we will not know who the performers are until a week before the show. Ticket cost will be $66. per person based on 25 people participating. If we do not have enough participants the price will be higher or we may not do this event. RSVP Required.

ARSC Executive Committee (EC) Meetings
The following ARSC Executive Committee meetings will be held on Mondays prior to the ARSC Board of Directors Meetings. The purpose of these meetings will be for the ARSC Executive Directors and the appointed ARSC Committee Chairs to review the current meeting agenda and prepare for the upcoming meeting. Each of these meetings will be held at a restaurant and began at approximately 6:00 pm and last until we are finished. If you are on the ARSC Executive Committee or serving as an ARSC Committee Chair please be sure and join us. Participants will pay their own dinner tabs.
Conference Call meetings will be held as needed between these meeting dates.

BIPS Meetings:
The Business and Information Practices Sessions (BIPS) are not ARSC sanctioned meetings. These meetings are scheduled in conjunction with the ARSC Board meetings to make it easy for all members to attend and participate. Many members send their Operation Managers to these meetings. Aspects of operating a safety council and a variety of curriculum and security information are exchanged during these meetings. Most members find these meetings very helpful in running their day-to-day operations.

Various ARSC Committee Meetings:
ARSC Committees consist of Audit, Bylaws, Curriculum, Finance and Owner Advisory Committees. We currently have a Technology Ad-hoc Committee working on a project as well.
These committees meet as needed on dates and times established by the various committee chairs assigned to the committee. Many meet via conference call. The ARSC Owner Advisory Committee meets a minimum of twice per year.
ARSC members having an interest to serve on a particular committee should notify the ARSC Executive Director of your interest and meeting notices will be sent to you.
